21st June is the anniversary of Charles Wheatstone officially presenting his theory of binocular vision and stereoscope to the Royal Society in 1838. To celebrate this occasion, International Stereoscopy Day was founded by the Brian May Archive of Stereoscopy to encourage people all over the world to get involved with stereoscopic 3-D.
